Ready or Not, Here We Come

Because this is probably the only FULL year we will spend living in Europe, we have diligently started setting up our vacation schedule. We still have tons of places to visit on our list, and we want to make the most of our time here. The other day, we visited the library at the American Women's Club of Zurich and checked out many travel books. When all these books were sitting on our coffee table, I thought it looked really cool and took a picture. I love Europe for being so diverse in such a relatively small space.

To put a long-drawn out caption on the books in this photo:
  • Prague: We are visiting Prague for a long-weekend in April to take in the Easter Markets and to see the city.
  • Tuscany: We are spending 4 nights in Tuscany when my parents and brother visit in May. We are planning on taking a cooking course. And we are staying at a villa in the Tuscan countryside. AWESOME!
  • Ireland: Unfortunate for us, our Northern European cruise was canceled. But on the positive side, this left ample vacation time for us to spend a week in Ireland. We'll be heading over in August. Our itinerary still needs fine-tuning.
  • Great Britain: We are planning to spend a few days in Scotland (and maybe Wales) when we go over to Ireland.
  • Switzerland - pretty obvious. We are spending a long-weekend in Geneva in April and will get to see the UN. :) But there's tons of other spots we want to visit in Switzerland before our time here is up.
  • Provence - France...not really on tap for certain, but I would love to go here. We'll see...
We are excited to be hosting lots of friends and family this year. We can't wait to show you around!!!

so, so jealous. Sounds like a ton of fun.....we have been trying to figure out how to make Prague a part of some vacation, but just haven't found a way yet.
