The Big Catch Up

Well, the last few months have been an adventure, that's for sure.  Right after my last post, on December 8th, I fell down the stairs in the main hallway of our apartment building and broke my heel.  What followed was 11 days in the hospital, and surgery to put LOTS of pins and a plate in my foot.  I had been unable to bear weight on that foot until about 3 weeks ago.  So, I was pretty much housebound due to inability to drive and really walk too far.

During all of this, we also found out that our landlord had decided to sell our apartment when our lease was up in May.  So, we had to go out looking for a new place on relatively short notice.  We were very lucky to find a beautiful place only a few towns away in Rüschlikon.  We are now closer to the city of Zürich than before.

Our move was last week and was successful.  And we are now settling nicely into our new home!

We are sure hoping our 2nd year in Zürich is eventful, but not in the way it was this past year!
